Want your Pokémon or sports cards graded by PSA from Europe? You have three options — and all of them have catches. Here is what PSA grading really costs from Europe in 2026, how long it takes, and when a German alternative is the smarter choice. (As of September 2026)

The three routes to PSA from Europe

1. Ship directly to the USA: submit to PSA in California yourself. Add transatlantic shipping, insurance, customs on the way back and — depending on service level — weeks to months of waiting. You carry the transport risk. Following PSA’s April 2025 announcement, online direct submissions from non-US countries are suspended — as of September 2026 no lifting has been announced.

2. Use an intermediary: European PSA intermediaries bundle submissions and handle the paperwork. Convenient, but expensive: all-in prices around €105–113 per card for the regular service (as of July 2026).

3. PSA Europe in Frankfurt: PSA’s European site in Frankfurt am Main has been accepting submissions from authorised PSA dealers only since July 2026; on-site grading was scheduled to start in August 2026 according to PSA’s timeline. According to PSA, private collectors will gain access “later in the year” — no date has been given, and PSA has published neither prices in euros nor European turnaround times (as of September 2026). For private collectors the route therefore still runs through an intermediary.

Honest answer: for very expensive cards you plan to sell on the US market, where PSA slabs command the highest resale premium. For your own collection, European sales and anything below the high-end segment, the premium rarely justifies the cost, waiting time and risk.
